เวลาที่เราศึกษาภาษาอังกฤษคงจะคุ้น ๆ คำแนะนำอยู่อย่างหนึ่งว่าให้ฝึกบรรยายกิจกรรมทุกอย่างในชีวิตประจำวันของเราเป็นภาษาอังกฤษซึ่งดิฉันคิดว่ามันก็ยากพอสมควรนะคะ เวลาเราใช้งานภาษาอังกฤษในการทำงานนั้น ภาษาที่ใช้จะเป็นภาษาเฉพาะในการทำงานของเรา เช่น ถ้าทำงานทางด้าน IT ภาษาก็จะมีแบบฉบับของมัน เป็นชุดคำศัพท์หรือรูปประโยคที่เราใช้อยู่ซ้ำ ๆ เอาคำศัพท์หรือ Tense มาเปลี่ยนวนเวียนอยู่อย่างนั้น เรียกว่าไม่ค่อยมีปัญหาเลยถ้าได้ใช้บ่อย ๆ จนคุ้นนะคะ แต่พอมาให้บรรยายกิจกรรมในชีวิตประจำวันเช่น บิดลูกบิดเปิดประตู เดินลงบันได เปิดฝักบัวอาบน้ำ เช็ดตัว ใส่ชุดทำงาน จัดโต๊ะอาหาร ฯลฯ เรากลับนึกคำไม่ออก เดี๋ยวเราจะลองบรรยายดูนะคะ เริ่มจากภาษาไทยก่อน แต่ถ้าใครอยากจะข้ามไปอ่านภาษาอังกฤษเลยก็ได้นะคะ
“ฉันตื่นนอนเวลา 6.00 น. ซึ่งเป็นเวลาตามปกติ ฉันลุกขึ้นบิดขี้เกียจสองสามที แล้วคลานออกจากเตียง ฉันเดินเข้าห้องน้ำเพื่อแปรงฟัน จากนั้นฉันเดินไปที่ประตู บิดลูกบิดเปิดประตูออก เดินไปตามทางเดิน ลงบันได เดินไปที่โต๊ะกินข้าว ทานอาหารเช้าร่วมกับแม่ แล้วช่วยกันเก็บโต๊ะ เสร็จแล้วฉันเดินขึ้นบันได กลับไปที่ห้อง เดินเข้าห้องน้ำ เปิดฝักบัว เปิดขวดแชมพู เทแชมพูออกมา สระผม เปิดครีมอาบน้ำ เทออกมา ลูบตามตัว ปิดฝักบัว เช็ดตัว นุ่งกระโจมอก เป่าผมให้แห้ง หวีผม หยิบกระปุกครีม ทาครีมที่หน้า ทาครีมกันแดดที่หน้า ทาครีมกันแดดที่ตัว แต่งหน้า ทาปาก ใส่ชุดทำงาน เดินออกจากห้อง หยิบกุญแจรถ เดินไปที่รถ Start รถ แม่มาเปิดประตูให้ ฉันบอกลาแม่ แล้วขับรถออกจากบ้าน ขับไปตามถนน ฉันจอดรถสัญญาณไฟที่สี่แยก พอไฟเขียวแล้วฉันออกรถ รถติดที่ถนนราชวิถี ฉันจอดรอคนข้ามถนนที่ทางม้าลาย มุ่งหน้าไปทางอนุสาวรีย์ชัยสมรภูมิ ขับขึ้นทางด่วน จ่ายเงินค่าทางด่วน 45 บาท ขับไปตามเส้นทางบางโคล่-ดาวคะนอง ขับข้ามสะพานแขวนพระราม 9 U-Turn รถใต้ทางด่วน ออกไปที่ถนนนราษฎร์บูรณะ จากนั้น U-Turn รถ แล้วขับเข้าประตูด้านหน้าบริษัท ขับเข้าไปในที่จอดรถ จอดรถ ล็อครถ ก้าวออกจากรถ ฉันเดินไปตามทางเดิน รูดบัตรพนักงาน แล้วเดินเข้าไปในตัวอาคาร ฉันเดินไปที่ลิฟต์ High Zone กดลิฟต์ขึ้น เดินเข้าไปในลิฟท์ กดชั้น 17 ลิฟต์ถึงชั้น 17 ฉันเดินออกจากลิฟต์ เดินเข้าสำนักงาน เดินเข้าประตูทางด้านซ้าย เดินไปตามทางผ่านคอกกั้นต่าง ๆ เดินไปมุมซ้ายสุดของสำนักงาน เดินเข้าไปยังคอกของทีม เดินไปยังที่นั่ง นั่งลง เปิดล็อคเกอร์ หยิบกระเป๋า Notebook หยิบ Notebook ออกจากกระเป๋า เปิดเครื่อง Notebook ฉันเริ่มทำงานในวันใหม่ด้วยจิตใจที่แจ่มใส!”
“I woke up at 6 am as usual. I streched myself a bit and climbed out of the bed. I walked into the bathroom and brushed my tooth. Then I walked towards the door, turned the knob and opened the door. I walked along the passage and went down the stairs. I walked towards the dining table and had my breakfast with my Mom. We help together to clear the table afterwards. I walked up the stairs and back to my room. I walked into the bathroom. I turned on the shower. I opened the shampoo bottle, poured the shampoo, and washed my hair. I open the shower cream, poured it and applied to my body. I turned off the the shower. I toweled my body, put on cloth covering my breasts, blow-dried, and combed my hair. I picked up the cream jar, smoothed the cream on my face, and applied the sunscreen cream to my face and my body. I put on make up and lipstick. I put on my working dress. I walked out of the room. I picked my car key and walked towards my car. I started the car. My Mom came to open the gate. I say good bye to her and drove the car out of the house. I drove down the street. I waited for a green at the intersection. Afterwards I took the car out. There was a traffic jam at Rajavithi Street. I waited for the pedestrians crossing at a crosswalk. I headed to Victory Monument. I went into the expressway. I paid 45 baht for the toll fee. I ran along Bangklo-Jangwatana Path. I crossed Rama IX Cable-Stayed Bridge, made a U-turn under the expressway, and drove towards Ratburana Street. Then I made a U-turn again and drove through the gate of the Company’s Buiding. I went into the parking building. I parked the car, stopped, locked up, and then got out of the car. I walked along the corridor to the Company’s Building. I swiped in with my Staff Card. Then I walked into the Company’s Building. I walked into the lift at High Zone area. I pressed the button to go to 17th Floor. The lift arrived at 17th Floor. I walked out of the lift and walked into the office. I walked through the left door, and then walked along the passageway through the cubicles towards the leftmost corner of the office. I walked into the my team’s cubicle. I walked towards my desk, sat down, opened my locker and picked up my Notebook bag. I picked my Notebook out of the bag and turned on my Notebook. I started my working day with joy!”
เราสามารถฝึกการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษด้วยการบรรยายสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นในชีวิตประจำวันในลักษณะนี้ จะช่วยให้เกิดความมั่นใจมากขึ้นเวลาใช้ภาษาค่ะ สิ่งที่เขียนสามารถปรับปรุงให้ดีกว่านี้ได้แน่ ๆ ค่ะ (เช่น การเชื่อมประโยค และดิฉันใช้ towards บ่อยเกินไป) ลองดูนะคะ
