Cloth มี 2 กรณี คือที่เป็น noun นับได้ กับ noun นับไม่ได้
1. Cloth ที่เป็น noun นับไม่ได้ (Uncountable noun) หมายถึง (a type of) woven material ใช้เมื่อพูดถึงผ้า ไม่ใช่เสื้อผ้าเป็นตัว ๆ ที่เราสวมใส่
a piece/length of cloth (วิธีเรียกผ้า 1 ชิ้น)
Woven cloth originated in Mesopotamia around 5000 BC.
2. Cloth ที่เป็น noun นับได้ (Countable noun) หมายถึง ผ้าสำหรับเช็ดทำความสะอาด
a washing-up cloth : ผ้าสำหรับเช็ดล้าง
floor cloth : ผ้าสำหรับทำความสะอาดพื้น

เป็น Verb ไม่ใช้ Noun แปลว่า to provide someone with clothes คือให้เสื้อผ้าเครื่องนุ่งห่มแก่ผู้อื่น

มีความหมายว่าเสื้อผ้า เช่นเดียวกับ Clothes แต่ใช้ในการพูดแบบอื่น ๆ ที่ไม่ได้เป็นการเจาะจงเสื้อผ้าตัวนั้น ตัวนี้ เช่น
Protective clothing must be worn. (ชุดป้องกันจะต้องถูกสวมใส่)
